Who is WEGA?
WEGA is approved by the MAEE (Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs) as a non-governmental development organization (ONG-D). It was founded in 1995 and started its activities with humanitarian actions in Eastern Europe following the sudden rise in poverty due to the collapse of social policies. It turned gradually to development projects improving the environment of deprived communities. Most projects were implemented in the Philippines as the organization developed strong ties with the Filipino community in Luxembourg. Lately it aspires to develop programs involving academic research and the private sector.
Your participation is essential to support the launch of new programs. The proceeds will be used for a new project in South India targeting vulnerable women, mostly widows, in partnership with one of the most respected NGOs in India: Assefa, a Gandhian organization that has improved the life of millions of women over 50 years.
