Regular Guided Tour: Jean-Pierre Beckius (1899–1946)
The works of Jean-Pierre Beckius, famed for his paintings of the Moselle region, are characterized by a wide variety of motifs and a personal painting style inspired by Impressionism. To commemorate his 125th birthday, an exhibition showcases 90 paintings and studies highlighting the distinctive periods of the artist's career. The exhibition centers on Beckius's lesser-known works, derived from his extensive family inheritance or private collections. This selection is expanded with pieces from the Villa Vauban collection. These works, mostly created abroad in France, Italy, and the Netherlands, are further enriched with family portraits.
