The monumental sculpture (2011), recently added to the Mudam Collection, is one of the works by Fiona Banner aka The Vanity Press. The English artist transforms military aircraft or their parts. Taken from a Tornado fighter jet, the polished wing now reflects its surroundings and is displayed vertically, interacting with the surrounding architecture. Through this work, the artist explores the beauty and ambivalence of our perceptions.
