Fear Factory was one of the first bands to merge the intensity of death metal with the harsh coldness of industrial electronics and samples, producing a more varied sonic palette to express their pessimistic and dark vision of a modern, technologically driven society. Mastering several subgenres, their peak was reached with the 1998 concept album "Obsolete," which became a mainstream hit thanks to a cover of Gary Numan's "Cars." Despite numerous lineup changes over the years, Fear Factory has remained relevant and powerful, releasing bold albums like "The Industrialist" (2012) and "Aggression Continuum" (2021).
