The exhibition explores a chapter of Luxembourg's history that is both forgotten and complex: the Bundeskontingent. It focuses on the impacts of the military on politics, economy, and society. Items from private historical collections as well as prestigious loans are displayed, sharing personal stories about the social and military challenges in 19th century Luxembourg.
