Dauphine-PSL and president of the Veblen Institute. She is the author of some twenty books on work, employment, social policies, and the ecological transition. Conference theme: In several European countries, but perhaps more so in France than elsewhere, leaders complain about the deterioration of the value of work: young people no longer want to work, Europeans should work more, we no longer have the means to finance our social model… At the same time, employees complain about poor working conditions, an intensification of work, a loss of meaning in work, and a lack of recognition. In the United States, deindustrialization has led to a vote based on resentment. How can European countries avoid a similar process? Can resolving the ecological issue, which is now central, help address the employment and work crisis?

The language used during the conference is French. German translation will be provided.
