Through the eyes of Alice - Théâtre
Everyone knows the legendary story of young Alice Liddell, who gets lost in Wonderland, where everything is upside down. But what if this Wonderland isn't as wonderful as it seems? Join Alice on a journey through the world of her own perception. Her story, as a young girl stigmatized by society as insane, is told through Alice's eyes. Due to prejudice, she is tragically forcibly committed to a 1950s asylum, where extraordinarily interesting characters await her. You will discover a play between reality and madness. Well-known characters, such as the Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, and others, reveal insights into their psychology through spoken monologues. As Alice, accompanied by the human form of her subconscious, gets to know the other patients, they suggest that they are all in grave danger. Surrounded by a dark aura that envelops the clinic, Alice tries to unravel the mystery and avert the danger. Will she succeed? You'll find out in her self-penned play, "Through Alice's Eyes," loosely based on Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland."
