The GET OUT marks the end of each Squatfabrik residency. It’s the moment when the public can discover, experience, and discuss the work - or reflections inspired by the residency month.
For this inaugural Squatfabrik by Raphaël Adams and Ren Loren Britton, the Get Out will take place on May 2, at 6:30 PM in the Galerie Terres Rouges.
🔷 REN LOREN BRITTON (USA/DE)
Coalition Constellations: "Stars Look Different Tonight" is an ongoing multimedia installation combining sculpture, video, and audio. Ren Loren Britton interviewed colleagues about disability justice, trans* and intersex experiences, star constellations, and abolitionist dreaming. These interviews are woven into an audio track set among the stars, exploring how these relationships are conceptualized and what forms of liberation or oppression are active. The project aims to rename constellations to honor trans* and disabled communities, with constellations like TIA (Trans Intersex Agender), one for Njudine, and others.
🔷 RAPHAËL ADAMS (LU/IR)
In a society without constraints surrounding love and intimacy, what would be our new values and practices? "A Dream of Courting" creates a space to reflect on the past, present, and future of love and intimacy, considering how these concepts might evolve in a new world. This project seeks to provide an alternative to traditional courtship, imagining a bold and abundant way of courting.
