CHRISTOPHE
Gallantry obliges, we start with the testimony of superChristophe:
"For an IT guy who only communicates by code all year round, the question of the women who have inspired his life is particular. Even if the field of information technology fortunately sees more and more women choosing it as a vocation, it has long been dominated by men.
The most significant experience for me happened a few years ago, when I watched the film "Hidden Figures" released in 2016. It tells the story of three African-American scientists who, in the early 1960s, actively participated in the American space conquest. Thinking at first that it was fictional, I was amazed to learn that it was actually a biographical work adapted from the book "Hidden Figures" by Margot Lee Shetterly. The way in which Katherine Johnson has imposed herself without violence but by the force of her tenacity and intelligence in this men's world commands respect. If this film is still unknown to you, I strongly invite you to a small movie session. 😁”

ELFY
Hey eLfy, do you still have models while you are part of the Top 100 women who run a business in Luxembourg?
"While I am convinced that role models have a big role to play in shifting the lines and encouraging people to start a business or women to go for it ... I don't work on role models related to people. I'm inspired by stories of brands, of companies. (We stay in the feminine, right? I answer to the subject anyway? 😉). The stories that have nourished and inspired my entrepreneurial adventure are those of brands with strong and very differentiating positioning.
- Michel and Augustin, this bold brand, for their audacity and their marketing
- Airbnb founded by designers, who bet a lot on their UX/UI
- Pinterest that I've "always" used
- Captain Train for their talent for the simplified, fast and intuitive
To name just a few...
I think that if I had to portray the perfect woman (even if we are all perfect in our own way 😊)
She would have:
- Above all else, the humor of Laura Laune
- The voice of Alicia Keys
- The entrepreneurial talent of Nathalie Balla who bought in 2014 a company from 1837, La Redoute for a symbolic €1, in bankruptcy (50M losses per year), with 2500 employees on board, and brought it into the digital age with a masterful hand.
- The courage of Frida Kahlo
- The pretty face of Marie Lorphelin
- The embodied sweetness of Norah Jones"

CAMILLE
When you know the crazitivity of Cami, our marketing rockstar, you can imagine that his role models are going to be amazing:
"I don't have one female model in particular, but several, fictional film characters, women who have made history and relatives. But what they have in common is: strength and courage. If I had to name several, I would say:
A well-known personality:
- Fran Drescher (aka La Nounou d'Enfer Fran Fine). When we see her in the series, all sparkling and full of humor, it is impossible to imagine that she was robbed and raped in front of her husband. Despite a divorce and this awful episode, she was able to get up and show a lot of lightness and eccentricity for her show ... in collaboration with her ex-husband 🙂
In the fictional characters of Charlies' Angels:
- Natalie Cook (Cameron Diaz). For this natural madness and eccentricity, what I love is that she remains herself without worrying about what other people think and doesn't hesitate to say when she likes things... and she likes a lot of things.
- Dylan Sanders (Drew Barrymore). She is both badass and romantic, she doesn't let herself be stepped on, it's clear... she doesn't hesitate to try out activities that seem to be "reserved for men": army, motocross, catch, but nothing prevents her from putting on a pair of heels, or lipstick with an 80's rock t-shirt...
- Alex Munday (Lucy Liu). The strategic nerd, who seems cold at first glance but who is of unparalleled loyalty. She's the big heart hidden under the iceberg, the one you have to get to know and who chooses her entourage well.
A woman from history :
- Dorothy Vaughan. This mathematician who worked at NASA in the 60s has encountered obstacles as a black woman working in a white male environment... I have great admiration for her patience, her great respect and her perseverance ! She became the first African-American Division Director of NACA and then NASA.”

MATHILDE
What about our superMathilde, who with her titles of chief pamperer, superMom, and queen of the dancefloor already has a nice heroin diploma:
"When I've been asked to think about who inspires me, I first had to rack my brains. On a daily basis, I don't have ONE model that I admire in particular and I haven't really had a clue. But after a few minutes of reflection, a shower of names appeared to me. I am a touch of everything, a little hummingbird of the islands that draws its energy to live from a multitude of female figures that each in their own way thrill me.
Women who have imposed themselves in men's circles and surpassed themselves. I would thus quote :
- Beyonce, a stage beast, a singer and a dancer who races to the stars with her husband.
- Coco Chanel, who revolutionized the world of fashion, but who above all liberated women by forcing them to wear comfortable pants.
- Simone Veil, who gave women the enjoyment of their bodies, and the freedom to choose
- Christine Lagarde and Michèle Obama, two great powerful women who have made a difference on the political stage
- I would end up with Rihanna, born in the Caribbean, who started out in song and became a an outstanding business woman.
I don't forget all these women from the shadows who are not quoted but who guide me. I would close by saying that behind every great man there is a great woman.”

PAULINE
Little Swiss Army Knife of the Happy Team, superPauline has more than one trick up her sleeve, so who are the women who inspire her?
"Since I was a child, I have always had the chance to meet inspiring people, teachers, colleagues, friends and family... to whom I became attached, sometimes identified myself a little and for whom I gave the best of myself; but I don't have a role model that guides my life on a daily basis.
Today, I often reflect that some people have incredible and very inspiring life stories or life paths (especially when I listen to podcasts). And I instantly want to roll up my sleeves, to face all the challenges that "scare" me.
I tell myself that some women (and men!) do indeed have to overcome more obstacles than others to reach their goal, but that everyone with their own story and the chance to meet the right people at the right time, (or the talent to succeed in provoking those meetings) do their best, at the right time to move forward, at their own pace.
If I think about it, there are still some women that I "admire" for their career but also because they are in my age group and I can imagine what they had to do to get there. The ones who inspire me the most are sportswomen (professional or not), and when they manage to combine their exploits with entrepreneurship or beautiful projects, I am fulfilled!
If I had to quote my 3 frenchy models of the moment I would say:
- Marine Leleu: because she is a kind of wonderwoman, a sportswoman and an extreme adventurer (as I would have liked so much to be)! Little scoop if you don't know her, she connected London to Paris, in less than 70h, sharing her efforts between cycling, swimming, and running for example... totally crazy!
- Laury Thilleman: because she managed to totally detach herself from her career as a Miss (even if she's still obviously a hottie!) and to create her own career on TV yes, but also as an entrepreneur by creating her own clothing brand, opening her restaurants... and that beyond all the pomp, she's a very committed woman for the planet and a great sportswoman, roots, natural and without fuss...
- Justine Hutteau: a modern-day entrepreneur, she has managed to build her cosmetics company 'Respire' thanks to her Instagram community, and has made it a real success story. And I also like her smile and the positive attitude she reflects on her networks, which are communicative (even when she runs the marathon...)".

CLÉO
Finally, she has just joined the Happy Team last week, and we don't really know all of SuperCléo's personality traits yet… so we can't wait to find out more!
"If I had to choose a "role model", I would turn to Jane Goodall. The 86-year-old British ethologist and anthropologist has dreamed from an early age of living in Africa and living with wild animals. Her wish was to observe them and write books about them. In the context of World War II, without money, she had to learn to work hard, seize opportunities and never give up, without giving in to the judgments of others.
She did not have enough money to go to university and was forced to find a food job. Despite the situation, she managed to bounce back and get closer to her goal step by step, thanks to decisive encounters and her willingness.
Today, through her organization 'Jane Goodall Institute' and her program 'Roots & Shoots', she fights for environmental awareness, the improvement of the quality of human life and the protection of chimpanzees.
She represents to me what I would like to embody in the future: a strong, committed and persevering woman, holding on to her dreams at all costs.
Jane Goodall embodies one of the many role models who inspire me on a daily basis. Among them: Lamya Essemlali (President of Sea Shepperd France), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (Representative of the Democratic Party), Amal Alamuddin Clooney (Lawyer), ...".
