Come and discover the technique of intaglio engraving.

During this workshop, you will be able to learn the basics of the engraving technique on different recycled materials such as Tetrapak or old CDs. These surfaces make it easy to cut surfaces, engrave and then playfully construct shapes, houses, cities or hybrids inspired by the works and surrealist world of artist Titus Schade. Give free rein to your imagination, learn to engrave with a point, creating hollows which will be the receptacle of the ink, on a recycled material and come and ink and print your engraving on a cylinder press.

This workshop is inspired by the engraving entitled “Die Fachwerkstadt” by the artist Titus Schade produced as part of his exhibition at the Konschthal.

All equipment is provided by Konschthal. Work attire is recommended. Aprons are available on site.
