With its anthology of short masses, offerories and motets by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his elder brothers Michael and Joseph Haydn, Le Concert Spirituel invites us to an evening full of fervor but also of refined grace, far from the pomp that the too often attributed to church music. Mozart's delicate Ave verum corpus alone sums up this atmosphere of intimate contemplation and classical elegance that Hervé Niquet, founder of the ensemble in 1987 and rich in extensive experience in both The Sacred Domain and The stage repertoire.
