Five times awarded the Victoires de la Musique Classique, pianist Bertrand Chamayou has had a dazzling career showcasing the most demanding repertoires. His luminous virtuosity will serve three piano masters: Franz Liszt (1811-1886) and His second Legend (“Saint François de Paule walking on the waves”) with tempestuous notes; Mili Balakirev (1836-1910) with Islamey, oriental fantasy, a piece long considered the most difficult in the repertoire; and Maurice Ravel (1875-1937), whose Gaspard de la nuit beats this record hands down.
