When a life's work continually oscillates between German-speaking and French-speaking cultures, one cannot resolutely trace its history in a single language. The biography of Aline Mayrisch, published by Germaine Goetzinger in German just two years ago, is the perfect example. Today, freshly translated into French by Florent Toniello, it opens up to French-speaking readers, evoking all the bridges taken and built by Aline Mayrisch herself. Peter Schnyder, president of the Fondation Catherine Gide, will discuss with Germaine Goetzinger and Florent Toniello, while the actor Sullivan Da Silva lends his voice to a selection of excerpts.
