Luxembourg Defence invites you to discover its aircraft fleet. On the weekend of September 21st and 22nd, 2024, from 10am to 5pm, the Directorate of Defence and Luxembourg Armed Forces invite the public to explore Luxembourg's air component during the Luxembourg Defence Open Air Days at Luxembourg-Findel Airport.
The following aircraft will be on display:
- Airbus A400M – a transport aircraft belonging to the Belgian-Luxembourg bi-national fleet
- Airbus A330 MRTT – strategic transport, air-to-air refuelling, and medical evacuation aircraft of the Multinational MRTT Fleet, comprising six participating nations
- Lockheed F-16 – Fighter aircraft of the Belgian Air Component for the aerial protection of BeNeLux
- Beechcraft BE350 ISR – maritime reconnaissance and surveillance aircraft
- Airbus H145M – light multi-role helicopter of the Luxembourg Army
- Insitu Integrator – Tactical reconnaissance and surveillance drone
- SIAI-Marchetti SF260 – Belgian Air Component training aircraft
- Learjet 45 – from Luxembourg Air Rescue
- Piper L-18C – historic aircraft used between 1957 and 1967
Experts and military personnel operating the various aircraft will be available on-site to answer technical or practical questions from the public. Information about potential careers and training programmes in the aviation sector will also be provided.
Historically, the Luxembourg Army, specializing in reconnaissance, has developed new aerial capabilities to meet national and international requirements.

Good to know

Registration is mandatory and will be available to the public from September 2nd, 2024. The event will be held in a restricted area of Luxembourg-Findel airport, accessible only by a shuttle bus running continuously between the "Parking DuPont de Nemours" and the event location. The number of participants is limited, requiring a time slot selection during registration. Parking address: Rue Général Patton, 5326 Contern.
