The Luxembourg Defence invites you to discover its air fleet. On the weekend of 21 and 22 September 2024, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Directorate of Defence and the Luxembourg Armed Forces invite the public to discover Luxembourg's air component during the Luxembourg Defence Open Air Days at Luxembourg-Findel Airport.

Various aircraft will be exhibited:
- Airbus A400M – a transport aircraft belonging to the Belgian-Luxembourgish binational fleet
- Airbus A330 MRTT – strategic transport, air-to-air refueling and medical evacuation aircraft of the multinational MRTT fleet, composed of six participating nations
- Lockheed F-16 – Fighter aircraft of the Belgian air component for the air protection of BeNeLux
- Beechcraft BE350 ISR – maritime reconnaissance and surveillance aircraft, contracted with DEA Aviation
- Airbus H145M – light multi-role helicopter of the Luxembourg army
- Insitu Integrator – tactical reconnaissance and surveillance drone
- SIAI-Marchetti SF260 – training aircraft of the Belgian air component
- Learjet 45 – from Luxembourg Air Rescue
- Piper L-18C – historic aircraft used by the Luxembourg armed forces between 1957 and 1967

Experts and military personnel operating these various aircraft will be on hand to answer technical or practical questions from the public. Information on possible careers and training programs in the aviation sector will also be available.

The Luxembourg Army, historically specialised in reconnaissance, has developed new air capabilities in recent years to meet national and international needs.


Good to know

Registration is mandatory and will be publicly available from September 2, 2024. The event will be held in a restricted area of Luxembourg-Findel Airport, accessible only by a shuttle bus connecting the "Parking DuPont de Nemours" to the event venue.

The number of participants is limited, thus requiring a time slot selection upon registration.
