During the Second World War, the Swiss Federal Council founded, on February 25, 1944, the relief organization Don suisse for the victims of war, whose priority goal was humanitarian aid in the devastated parts of Europe. The Swiss Action Committee for Luxembourg also became involved in completely destroyed Echternach from 1945 with tractors and Swiss huts. The lecture outlines the until now unknown efforts of Swiss aid organizations in Luxembourg during the reconstruction.
