A stunning spectacle, in every sense of the word.
Those known in Europe as "whirling dervishes" are in reality followers of the Mevlevi brotherhood performing the impressive and highly codified ritual of the sama. On the stage of the Grand Auditorium, the group from Damascus will be accompanied by the musicians of the Al-Kindi Ensemble, a veritable conservatory of Syrian and Turkish Sufi musical traditions.
