Café Terminus - Theater
It's war. Or crisis. In any case, there are problems in Luxembourg. The situation has escalated to the point where some strange people have retreated to an old, slightly dilapidated café, Café Terminus, out of fear of the outside, out of fear of the future. We are in the year 2039. Luxembourg is celebrating its 200 years of independence despite the chaos reigning in the streets. The guests of Café Terminus do not join the celebration. They live in their dreams, in their illusions, discuss, debate, argue, laugh and drink more than is allowed. This small, sheltered world starts to shake on the day Hary, the bistro's patron, celebrates his birthday. Suddenly, everything is different, the war or the crisis, which had so far been just outside, break violently into Café Terminus. With Café Terminus, Frank Hoffmann creates a poetic dystopia of our country. The text freely adapts themes from the play The Iceman Cometh by American playwright Eugene O'Neill. Café Terminus, a piece from the Luxembourg night, is cast with wonderful actors and musicians. Once again! For all those who couldn't find a place in Café Terminus in the past two years, the café opens once more for the new season. With new brilliance and the old songs. Visionary, rebellious, clairvoyant, Frank Hoffmann examines society and dusts it off.
