The Ettelbruck library is pleased to invite you to a conference and screening by Mr. Yves De Smet titled "All Crazy, the Hugos?". Although the fact that several members of the Hugo family suffered from mental illness is somewhat known today, it still remains rather nebulous. Yves De Smet therefore asked whether, in light of various hypotheses proposed over time, each member of this family individually possessed a unique psychiatric defect independent of the others, and if so, what exactly it was, or on the contrary, whether all members suffered from a common family psychopathology that he would need to define, but which varied in expression among individuals and circumstances.
