In her current works, Olga Reiff explores how memories and emotions can be represented in an abstract way. With brush and paint, sometimes subtracting, sometimes adding, she seeks and discovers traces of past places and moments in her life. Her paintings, in harmonious and natural colors, reveal landscape-like shapes, sometimes accompanied by fragments of figures, organic forms, and details, which evoke memories and emotions in the viewer. In addition to canvas and wood panels, the artist often uses paper as a painting surface, as its fragility and transience particularly reflect her artistic approach.
