With Face-to-Face, Virginie Descamps and Nicolas Mazzi immerse us in an intimate artistic dialogue where woodworking and ceramics intertwine to create three-dimensional paintings. The artistic couple embodies a symbiosis between two distinct personalities and two creative universes, fueled by ancestral knowledge. Together, they explore the infinite potential of a collaboration where each material, each technique, enriches and redefines the other. Wood, paper, and ceramics respond to, confront, and unite with each other to tell their story of continual reinvention. Descamps + Mazzi invite us to share their amused perspective on the world and themselves. Face-to-Face celebrates the meeting of all forms: materials, sensitivities, and perspectives, with support from DRAC Grand-Est, the Grand-Est Region, the Department of Moselle, DRAJES, and the City of Metz.
