Lise de la Salle (FR) For more than two decades, Lise de la Salle has established herself as one of the leading musicians of her generation, with unparalleled sensitivity and maturity. Born in 1988 in Cherbourg, France, she began playing piano at the age of 4 and gave her first concert for Radio France at the age of 9. She quickly won several prestigious competitions, including the First Prize at the International Ettlingen Competition in Germany in 2000, as well as awards in Paris in 2003 and New York in 2004. Trained at the Conservatoire de Paris, she performs at renowned festivals and began, at only 14, a promising recording career praised for its depth of interpretation. Among her many acclaimed recordings are the Concerto No.2, op.21 with Fabio Luisi and the Staatskapelle Dresden. In 2011, her sixth album, dedicated to Liszt's bicentennial, was awarded a Diapason d’Or and the Editor’s Choice of Gramophone, confirming her unique talent in interpreting the romantic repertoire.
